Gay bars in Palm Springs: the Arenas District
Updated October 9, 2026
Most of Palm Springs' gay nightlife sits on one short, walkable strip: Arenas Road in downtown, known as the Arenas District. Patios, mountain views, show tunes and dance floors, all within a few steps of each other.

The Arenas Road bars
Hunters Palm Springs
A big dance floor, an outdoor patio, several bars and a stage. The crowd changes through the week, with nights like Fur Friday, drag bingo, trivia and karaoke.
Chill Bar
Retro-meets-modern bar with an outdoor patio and mountain views. Bingo nights, drag shows and a Sunday brunch.
Quadz
A musical theater video bar and the local favorite for Broadway sing-alongs. You will know every word by the end of the night.
Streetbar
A historic gay bar running since the 1990s, with drag shows, karaoke and live entertainment. Very much a "everybody knows your name" kind of place.
Blackbook
Half bar, half restaurant, with a big whiskey selection and food made in-house. A good place to eat before the night starts.
Dick's on Arenas
Gay-owned and operated, with a Leather and Levi theme. All are welcome.
Evening Citizen
A hidden speakeasy-style lounge in the district. You reserve first and the entrance is shared afterward. Phones and photos are not allowed inside.
