Lesbian and queer bars in Los Angeles

Updated October 9, 2026

Lesbian bars are rare (only a few dozen are left in the whole US), but Los Angeles still has some great ones, plus lots of queer-friendly bars and recurring sapphic parties. Here is where to go.

Queer events and community

Lots of the best sapphic nights in LA are pop-up or monthly parties rather than fixed bars. Good places to find them: Sapphic LA's event list, the Los Angeles LGBT Center's events calendar, and LGBTQ+ party listings from local event guides. Many happen in DTLA, Silver Lake, Echo Park and WeHo.

Find your crowd in the app

In Let's Have Fun Together you can filter Explore for lesbian and LGBTQ+ friendly places, join or start a group (for example "LA sapphic nights"), see who is going out tonight, and plan a meetup with a time and place. You choose who sees your profile and Status.

Venue details were checked in October 2026 from each venue's own site and well-known city guides. Hours, cover and theme nights change often, so check the venue's own page or social account before you go. Bars and clubs are usually 21+ with ID. We are not affiliated with any venue listed.
